On December 24th, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT) held the Ceremony for the Appointment of Ms. Pansy Ho as Honorary Professor. Huang Keying, Secretary of the Party Committee of BIFT, attended and delivered a speech. Jia Ronglin, President of BIFT, presided over the ceremony, which attracted representatives from Shun Tak Holdings Limited, as well as faculty and student representatives of the university.

Jia Ronglin introduced the university’s profile and Ms. Pansy Ho’s major achievements, read out the appointment resolution, and presented the Letter of Appointment.

Professor Pansy Ho stated that she was honored to join the BIFT family and become part of China’s fashion force. She expressed her commitment to standing at the forefront of industrial transformation together with BIFT in the future. She also offered words of encouragement to the students, urging them to deeply root themselves in cultural traditions and become fashion interpreters of Chinese aesthetics, to integrate aesthetics with business and become strategic constructors of the fashion industry, and to embrace the wave of technological advancement and be rule-setters for the future of fashion.

She expressed the expectation that Ms. Pansy Ho, with her global vision and industry experience, would promote the university’s discipline construction and talent cultivation, and work hand in hand with all faculty and students to compose a splendid chapter for BIFT.

Ms. Pansy Ho is currently Chairman of Shun Tak Holdings Limited and Chairman of MGM China Holdings Limited. She has successively held positions such as Tourism Ambassador of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Global Tourism Economic Forum, Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Alliance for Cultural Heritage in Asia, and Vice Chairman of China Foundation for Cultural Heritage Conservation. She enjoys a high international reputation and influence in various fields including international fashion and cultural tourism, art, and education.
