On May 9, the Global Future Design Conference was held in Zhangjiawan Design Town, Tongzhou District, Beijing. It was guided by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, and the Tongzhou District Government. With the Beijing Future Design Lab as the host , the event was organized by Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology (BIFT) and the Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park Tongzhou Park.

The conference was attended by over 300 representatives from government agencies, enterprises, universities, design institutions, and associations. Key participants included Wu Tong (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), Jiang Guangzhi (Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology), Yang Jianglin (Beijing Municipal Education Commission), Huang Keying and Liu Kesong (BIFT), Wu Kong'an (Tongzhou District Government), Gao Bingyue (Zhongguancun Science Park Tongzhou), Cai Daying (China Arts and Crafts Society), Zeng Hui (Beijing Future Design Lab), and international guests Melike Taşcıoğlu Vaughan (ICoD), Srini R SRINIVASAN (WDO), Dominique Simard (Rethink Fashion), and Chen Kuiwen (GAC R&D Center), etc. The event was chaired by Professor Jia Ronglin, the university president of BIFT.

The conference sought to enhance Beijing's global design influence through three core themes: design-driven industrial transformation, Chinese industries linkage with global innovation, and sustainable development solutions. It served as an ideal platform for technological integration and creative exploration.
Concurrently, the "Hanfu AIGC Design Platform Launch and Hanfu Show" was held to promote the Hanfu industry developing from digital replication to dynamic heritage preservation.
