The 2019 Interview and Evaluation of Undergraduate Enrollment of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese Students End Successfully

On the afternoon of May 27 and the morning of May 28, the   evaluation of art majors for overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students, Hong Kong and Taiwan test-free students was conducted in Conference Room 101. Members of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese enrollment leading group and the experts from art professional schools participated in the interview.

To begin with, Xi Yumei, deputy head of the leading group and dean of  School of International Education, briefed the participating members on the policies related to the joint enrollment of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese. The evaluation included auditing works and interviewing. Experts reviewed the works first, and those whose works were approved will be interviewed. In 2019, 37 candidates from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese, 14 students exempted from the test in Hong Kong and 11 students from Taiwan applied for BIFT. Through the examination of the collection of works, the experts reached the agreement that the level of the collection of works this year was slightly higher than that of last year, especially the works of the examination-free students. During video questions and exchange sessions , the experts and professors asked the questions from different angles and the students made serious and detailed answers . At the end of the video connection, the experts evaluated the collection and determined the intention of enrollment.

It was the second time that School of International Education successfully interviewed candidates from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese students after the interview of Macao students remotely through Internet in January this year.
